| 裏面の説明 | A left-facing bust of President Ferdinand E. Marcos is rendered in high relief at the center of the field, depicting him in a suit and tie with a close-cropped hairstyle. The legend ANG BAGONG LIPUNAN (The New Society) arcs prominently along the upper periphery, while the inscription SETYEMBRE 21, 1972 appears to the right of the portrait in two lines. Along the lower arc, PANGULONG FERDINAND E. MARCOS is inscribed, with the date 1975 at the bottom flanked by two five-pointed stars, all within a beaded border. |

Issued to mark the fifth anniversary of Marcos's declaration of martial law — rebranded by his administration as the "New Society" — this gold piece was part of a broader commemorative program the Bangko Sentral produced throughout the 1970s largely for export and collector sale rather than domestic circulation. Hard currency was the point. The coins generated foreign exchange while projecting an image of stability that the regime was eager to sell abroad.
