Comments

Bolivia's 1982 hyperinflationary spiral made this denomination obsolete almost immediately after issue. The Peso Boliviano itself was replaced wholesale in 1987 by the Boliviano at a rate of one million to one — a ratio that tells you more about those years than any economic summary could.

Three signature combinations exist for P#167, reflecting rapid turnover in the Central Bank's leadership during a period of acute political and fiscal instability. The Rossel pairings are considerably more common than the Milton Paz variant.
