备注

El Banco Español de la Habana was the only bank of issue in Cuba during the colonial period, operating under a Spanish royal charter first granted in 1856. By the 1870s, the island's sugar economy was under severe strain — the Ten Years' War (1868–1878) had devastated the eastern provinces, and confidence in paper currency was fragile throughout the series' issue window.

Bradbury Wilkinson & Co. handled production in London, a common arrangement for Spanish colonial currency where metropolitan oversight extended even to the physical manufacture of notes. At the 1000 Pesos denomination, actual circulation was almost certainly limited — notes of this value in colonial Cuba functioned primarily in wholesale trade and interbank settlement rather than everyday commerce.
