Obverse description The Mexican national arms rendered in high relief at center, depicting an eagle perched upon a cactus and devouring a serpent, set above a wreath of oak and laurel branches. The design is executed in cameo proof finish with a deeply mirrored field. The encircling legend 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, separated from the inner device by a toothed inner border.
