The 1931 1000 Pesetas (Pick 84) was issued by the Banco de España during the first months of the Second Spanish Republic, proclaimed in April of that year. The timing matters: the note was designed and largely prepared under the monarchy, yet entered circulation under a government that had just abolished it. No design changes were made.
