| 备注 |
The 1971 series was issued to mark the centenary of the Banco de España's establishment as the sole institution of issue — a status formalized under the Law of 19 March 1874, which ended the era of competing regional banks of issue. The FNMT had printed Spanish currency continuously through the Franco years with minimal design evolution, making this commemorative issue a rare occasion for deliberate stylistic ambition.
Three signatures on a single note is unusual for the series and reflects the bank's tripartite authorization structure at the time — Governor, Deputy Governor, and Interventor all signing off. Coronel de Palma served as Governor from 1970 to 1976.
