Beschrijving voorzijde	Central vignette presents a portrait of the Renaissance humanist philosopher Juan Luis Vives (1492–1540) in period dress, rendered in intaglio engraving. The Spanish State coat of arms appears alongside the central portrait, framed by elaborate guilloche underprint work. Denomination and issuing authority inscriptions are arranged across the face with the date of issue and the facsimile signatures of the Governor, Auditor, and Cashier of the Banco de España.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse carries an architectural vignette of the Royal Seminary College of Corpus Christi (El Patriarca), situated on Calle de la Nau in Valencia, rendered in finely detailed intaglio against a decorative guilloche background. The building's Renaissance façade is illustrated with considerable topographical precision. Denomination and bank name inscriptions are placed within the surrounding border design.
