Reverse description The reverse is printed in reddish-brown on plain paper and relies entirely on intricate lathe-work guilloche patterns arranged in a symmetrical layout. Two oval vignettes, one at left and one at right, each contain a classical female portrait in profile facing left, set within an ornate lace-like frame. Denomination counters reading '1000' and 'MIL' appear at the top and bottom margins, with the letter 'M' repeated in the corner medallions.
