Obverse description Central depiction of the ornate Baroque façade of the Ruins of St. Paul's Church rendered in fine relief, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The legend MACAU arcs across the upper periphery, while the date 2001 appears in the lower field below the church. Eight five-pointed stars are evenly distributed around the design, flanking the central motif on both sides within a beaded border.
