正面描述	The arms of Macau, comprising a Portuguese-style shield surmounted by a royal crown and supported on either side by a winged angelic figure, occupy the central field. The left supporter holds a Latin cross staff while the right holds an armillary sphere. A scrolled ribbon beneath the supporters bears the motto CIDADE DO NOME DE DEUS / NAO HA OUTRA MAIS LEAL / DE MACAU in incuse lettering. A ring of five-pointed stars frames the composition along the inner border, with the legend MACAU arching across the upper field and the date 1988 positioned at the base.

背面描述	A finely detailed Chinese imperial dragon rendered in high relief dominates the field, depicted in dynamic lateral movement with scales, claws, flowing mane, and breath issuing toward clouds above. A small flaming pearl appears below the dragon's body at centre. The denomination 1000 arches across the upper field, flanked by two five-pointed stars, with PATACAS in large letters along the lower arc. To the left of the dragon the Chinese characters 壹仟 (one thousand) are inscribed vertically, and to the right the characters 澳門 (Macau) appear in the same orientation.
