| Obverse description | The arms of Macau, comprising a Portuguese-style shield surmounted by a royal crown and supported on either side by a winged angelic figure, occupy the central field. The left supporter holds a Latin cross staff while the right holds an armillary sphere. A scrolled ribbon beneath the supporters bears the motto CIDADE DO NOME DE DEUS / NAO HA OUTRA MAIS LEAL / DE MACAU in incuse lettering. A ring of five-pointed stars frames the composition along the inner border, with the legend MACAU arching across the upper field and the date 1988 positioned at the base. |
