| 备注 |
Angola's currency went through a particularly unstable sequence in the 1980s. The Novo Kwanza, introduced in 1977 at par with the original Kwanza, was itself overprinted onto earlier stock rather than freshly printed in several denominations — a cost-saving measure during a period when the civil war was consuming the national budget and foreign exchange for printing contracts was hard to justify.
Thomas De La Rue handled the underlying printing, but the overprint itself was applied separately, and alignment inconsistencies between the base note and the overprint text are well documented across the series.
