| Obverse description | Within a raised inner circle, two intricately detailed Bhutanese dragons face each other in heraldic opposition, their sinuous bodies framing a central double vajra (dorje) symbol surrounded by stylized cloud and lotus motifs rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. A lotus blossom in full bloom occupies the lower portion of the inner circle, while a jewel finial crowns the composition at the top. An inscription in Dzongkha script appears in the upper border of the coin, and the legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN is inscribed along the lower border. The notation GOLD 999.9 appears at the lower left of the border. |
