| Obverse description | Central portrait vignette of American poet and writer Edgar Allan Poe, with a haunted manor house at right accompanied by bats in flight. The composition is rendered in a gothic artistic style consistent with Poe's literary legacy, with guilloche underprint elements framing the design. Inscriptions include the denomination, series year 2024, and the dates of Poe's birth and death (1809–1849). |

Not legal tender, not a banknote — this is a novelty art piece issued privately by designer Matej Gabris, who has built a recognizable side industry producing fictitious "Mystery Dollar" notes featuring literary and historical figures. DAS Security Printing's involvement lends the physical object a degree of material credibility: genuine security paper, offset lithography to a commercial standard, and an embedded watermark that mimics the production quality of actual currency without crossing into counterfeiting territory since no real denomination is replicated.
Collectible purely as a curiosity. Secondary market demand tracks Gabris's broader series rather than anything specific to the Poe subject.
