Obverse description Typographic design featuring the denomination 1000 MARK in large bold numerals at centre of the field, with an individual serial number above. The circular legend reads C·CONRADTY·ROTHENBACH along the upper periphery and NOTGELD 1922 along the lower periphery, separated by two five-pointed stars at either side. The maker's signature LAUER NÜRNBERG appears in small lettering at the lower left field. The entire design is executed in a plain, utilitarian style consistent with the industrial emergency coinage of the Weimar inflation period.
