| Beschrijving voorzijde | Imperial eagle underprint at centre, with the large ornate Gothic-script title 'Reichsbanknote' across the top and 'Ein Tausend Mark' below in elaborate calligraphic lettering. The denomination numeral '1000' appears in a guilloche panel at centre, flanked on each side by the printed serial number. A single red wax-style seal of the Reichsbank is placed at lower left, with multiple manuscript signatures of the Reichsbankdirektorium below the date line 'Berlin, den 2. Januar 1884.' Penalty text against counterfeiting appears in two columns in the lower portion. |
