Obverse description The obverse is printed in a bold expressionist woodcut style, with two industrial vignettes flanking a central text panel: at left, a steelworker tends a blast furnace amid glowing flames and an overhead steel structure rendered in blue and orange; at right, a worker stands before a brick industrial wall with circular port-holes emitting orange light. The central panel bears the city arms of Freital above the motto "FLEISS UND FORTSCHRITT" on a blue banner, with the date, mayoral signature, and circulation notice set against a pale guilloche-style underprint repeating "1000 MARK". The denomination "1000 MK" is lettered in large gold type across the top, with "STADT FREITAL" in matching gold along the base.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in a vivid expressionist style across three registers: the left panel carries a red crossed-hammer-and-pick mining symbol against a pale "1000 MARK" letterpress underprint on a blue-bordered ground; the central vignette presents a silhouetted industrial landscape in ochre and brown, with cooling towers, pit-head winding gear and smoking chimneys, dominated by the dark silhouette of a striding miner; the right panel bears a red cogwheel symbol against an identical underprint field. The denomination "EINTAUSEND MARK" is inscribed in large gold letters along the lower edge, with "SERIE E" at lower left and the serial number at lower right.
