| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device depicts a double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread and talons visible, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination legend '1000 MANAT' is inscribed along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, while the date '2000' appears in the lower exergual area. The heraldic eagle motif serves as the national emblem of Turkmenistan and is the dominant design element of the obverse. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field features a youthful portrait of Saparmurat Niyazov as a child, rendered in subtle relief with a plain background, facing forward in a frontal effigy style. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, with the inscription 'TÜRKMENISTANYÑ MERKEZI BANKY' arching along the upper periphery and '• SAPARMYRAT NYÝAZOWYŇ OGLAN DÖWRY •' along the lower, all in raised Latin script. The design commemorates the childhood of President Niyazov, issued on the occasion of his 60th birthday. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Niyazov turned 60 in February 2000, and the Turkmen state marked the occasion with characteristic excess — this coin was part of a broader cult-of-personality apparatus that had already renamed the month of January after him and erected a gold-plated rotating statue of him atop the Neutrality Arch in Ashgabat. The "Young Saparmurat" designation is telling: the regime maintained parallel iconographies of Niyazov at different ages, all under the self-bestowed title Türkmenbaşy, "Head of all Turkmen," which he had adopted by presidential decree in 1993.
Mintage figures for this issue have never been officially published.
