| 背面描述 | A nimbate frontal figure of Saint Marinus, patron and founder of the republic, is depicted at center holding a scroll. The date anno Domini MCMLXXXVII is rendered in Roman numerals, divided on either side of the saint's figure. The denomination L 1000 appears in the exergue below, separated by a horizontal line. The composition reflects a formal, hieratic artistic style befitting the religious and civic iconography of San Marino's coinage series. |

San Marino suspended its autonomous coinage for most of the twentieth century, relying instead on Italian currency under successive treaty arrangements. The 1987 resumption series marked a formal reassertion of the republic's minting rights negotiated through its monetary convention with Italy — one of several periodic renegotiations that gave San Marino the authority to issue limited-mintage collector coinage alongside standard Italian lira circulation pieces.
KM#210 belongs to the wave of silver issues produced specifically for that relaunch, with mintages kept deliberately low to sustain collector demand.
