背面描述	The reverse is printed in warm brown tones with a rich intaglio border populated by standing allegorical female figures, classical architectural vignettes, and decorative foliate scrollwork. To the right of centre, a large cameo-style portrait of a female head in profile — representing Italia — is rendered in intaglio within a circular frame, accompanied by the denomination '1000 LIRE' repeated twice in the central field. A circular orange underprint medallion is positioned at the lower centre, and a large watermark circle occupies the left portion of the design.
