The Banca d'Italia circular seal in orange, dated and bearing the fasces emblem, is placed at the upper centre between scroll cartouches bearing the bank's name. The surrounding field is filled with intricate guilloche underprint in violet and gold, with the denomination '1000' repeated in the four corners.
