Obverse description Central vignette consists of an intaglio-rendered sculpted stone frieze in two horizontal registers, depicting equestrian figures, hunting scenes, and animals in a medieval relief style, set against a green guilloche underprint. The bank title "HRVATSKA DRŽAVNA BANKA" appears in a dark banner across the top, with denomination numerals "1000" at all four corners and in two ornate guilloche cartouches flanking the central vignette. Below the frieze, the issuing city and date "ZAGREB 1. RUJNA 1943" are printed alongside two manuscript facsimile signatures, with stylized horsemen and interlaced ornamental borders completing the design.
