The "Bridges and Antiquities" series was Denmark's last series printed in-house before Danmarks Nationalbank closed its Copenhagen printing works in 2016 after nearly two centuries of operation. That closure marked the end of a genuinely rare arrangement — a central bank maintaining its own full production facility for that long into the modern era.
The number of signature combinations across just three years of issue reflects the board turnover during a period of significant internal restructuring at the bank. Nine distinct signature pairings on a single Pick number is unusual even by Danish standards.
