| 备注 |
Norway's highest-denomination note of its era, the 1000 Kroner was printed across four decades under the signatures of three different governors — an unusually long run for a note of this face value. The original plates were produced by Bradbury Wilkinson in the United Kingdom, though later impressions were handled domestically by Norges Banks Seddeltrykkeri, making mixed-provenance examples possible within the same signature period.
The series is named for Statsminister Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie, the Norwegian statesman instrumental in drafting the 1814 Constitution. Wold-Torne's design commission reflects a deliberate cultural program by Norges Bank to anchor its high-value paper in national political history rather than allegory or commerce.
Surviving circulated examples from the 1935–1943 Meldahl-Nielsen period carry particular interest — that run ended under German occupation, and wartime redemption significantly reduced surviving stock.
