Obverse description Purple intaglio print on white paper. A vignette of Stortingspresident Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie appears at left, with a vignette of Admiral Peter Wessel Tordenskiold at right, both rendered in a fine engraved portrait style. The central field carries the denomination inscription within an ornamental guilloche framework.

Reverse description Multicolour print in brown, blue and red with a black central vignette of the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, the historic shrine of Norway's patron saint St. Olav. To the left of the cathedral a vignette of a Viking king's head appears, while to the right the royal arms of Norway are surrounded by the heraldic arms of the six Norwegian bishoprics: Christiania, Bergen, Hamar, Trondheim, Kristiansand, and Tromsø. The denomination numerals are repeated at all four corners within ornamental guilloche borders.
