| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in blue-violet and comprises a densely worked guilloche composition centred on a large ornate rosette, within which the numeral 1000 is set in a rectangular frame formed by finely engraved geometric lathe-work. Corner cartouches repeat the denomination 1000 at upper left and right, with additional numeral panels at lower left and right, and a continuous guilloche border frames the entire design on all four sides. The face is otherwise unlettered, relying solely on the elaborate engine-turned underprint for visual security. |
