| Beschrijving voorzijde | The Hungarian-language face of the underlying Austro-Hungarian Bank 1000 Kronen note dated Wien, 2. Jänner 1902, printed in blue on pale paper with an elaborate guilloche border of rosettes and interlocking geometric patterns. At upper centre, a vignette of the Hungarian coat of arms flanked by angels, with the denomination EZER KORONA in large letterpress at centre; to the right, an oval intaglio portrait of a young woman with flowers in her hair set against a fine lace-pattern guilloche ground. A black rectangular overprint reading MAGYARORSZÁG is applied to validate the note for circulation in Hungary. Three facsimile signatures appear below the central text panel with the designations FŐTANÁCSOS, KORMÁNYZÓ, and VEZÉRTITKÁR. |

At upper centre, an intaglio vignette of the Austro-Hungarian double-headed eagle; flanking text panels list the denomination in eight languages. The large denomination inscription TAUSEND KRONEN appears at centre in letterpress, with two guilloche underprint panels to either side. To the right, the same oval intaglio portrait of a flower-garlanded woman repeated in the note's characteristic Art Nouveau style. Three facsimile signatures are placed below the central text panel under the designations GENERALRAT, GOUVERNEUR, and GENERALSEKRETÄR. |
