背面描述 A dynamic figure of a footballer in full stride, kicking a soccer ball in the left portion of the field, set against a decorative arc of traditional African geometric patterning to the left. To the right, a large carved African ceremonial mask rendered in fine relief occupies the lower right field, evoking the cultural heritage of the host nation. The date '2010' appears in the upper right field, and the legend '2010 FIFA WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA ™' curves along the right and lower periphery within a plain inner border.

附加信息

Laos issued a wave of commemorative gold pieces in the late 2000s and early 2010s aimed squarely at the international thematic collector market — football, wildlife, Olympics — with minimal domestic circulation relevance. The 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa was the first held on the African continent, generating an enormous licensing-adjacent commemorative output from dozens of small issuing states with no connection to the tournament.

These Lao issues were almost certainly struck by a European contract mint, most likely in Germany or Austria, and sold directly into the collector trade.
