| Obverse description | The central field depicts a detailed battle scene commemorating the Siege of Savannah (1779), showing Revolutionary War soldiers advancing alongside a wheeled cannon, with a large body of troops visible in the background. The scene references the Haitian contribution to American independence, evoking the historic role of the Fontages Legion.
