| Obverse description | Diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, rendered in high relief at center against a radially striated field. The legend REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA appears to the lower right of the portrait. Below the truncation, the name ELIZABETH II is inscribed.
