| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Cameroon occupies the central field, featuring a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by crossed fasces and supported by a banner inscribed with the bilingual state name. The motto is displayed in French and English in two lateral arcs reading PAIX / PEACE to the left and PATRIE / FATHERLAND to the right, with TRAVAIL / WORK appearing across the top of the shield. The country name REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper legend, and the denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA is inscribed along the lower field.
