Additional information

Chad's wildlife coin program of the early 2000s was produced under licensing arrangements common to francophone African states with no meaningful domestic minting infrastructure — the physical coins were struck in Europe, almost certainly never circulated in N'Djamena, and were issued primarily for the collector export market. KM#26 is one of several animal-themed pieces from this run.
