| Obverse description | The Gabonese coat of arms occupies the centre of the field, featuring a shield supported by two black panthers rampant, surmounted by a tree with spreading branches and flanked by foliate sprays. The shield bears three horizontal gold discs above a sailing ship on waves. A ribbon below the shield carries the national motto in three parts.
