| Beschrijving voorzijde | The national coat of arms of Burkina Faso occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with a five-pointed star, supported by two rearing stallions, with crossed spears behind the shield and an open book below. A ribbon beneath bears the national motto 'Unité Progrès Justice' in three sections. The circular legend 'REPUBLIQUE DU BURKINA FASO' runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '1000 FRANCS CFA' is inscribed in bold relief across the lower field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Burkina Faso has no postal or monetary history with mammoths — this is a purely commercial issue produced for the European collector market, a practice that accelerated sharply after several West African CFA nations began licensing their nominal issuing authority to private minting houses in the 2000s. The coins are legal tender in name only; none circulate, and the face value bears no relation to the silver content or retail price.
Most such Burkina Faso issues were struck by the Bavarian State Mint or by private European minting firms operating under contract.
