| Reverse description | A colorized depiction of a Junkers JU 52 trimotor aircraft in flight is shown in profile against a dramatic alpine mountain landscape, with glaciated peaks rendered in tones of blue and white occupying the lower field. A small Swiss cross emblem appears on the tail fin of the aircraft. The legend JUNKERS JU 52 arcs along the upper periphery of the coin, with the date 1995 positioned in the lower right field. |

| Additional information |
The Junkers Ju 52 entered service in the early 1930s as a commercial airliner before the Luftwaffe repurposed it as a transport and paradrop aircraft throughout World War II. It remained in civilian service across Europe and South America well into the postwar decades — Lufthansa flew a version of it, and the Swiss Air Force didn't retire its fleet until 1981.
The Republic of the Congo's aviation-themed commemorative series of the mid-1990s was struck for the collector market, with no meaningful domestic circulation intended.
