A small Egyptian mummy sarcophagus is depicted in the upper left field, referencing the ship's historic cargo of Egyptian antiquities transported in 1822. The legend GOTTFRIED 1822 arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by decorative dots, while the date 2013 appears to the lower left of the vessel. The inscription TRANSPORT D'ANTIQUITES EGYPTIENNES curves along the right and lower periphery, completing the commemorative theme. |
