| 表面の説明 | The obverse displays the gilt coat of arms of Burkina Faso centrally positioned in the field, featuring two stallions as supporters flanking a shield charged with a five-pointed star, surmounted by crossed spears and a scroll inscribed BURKINA FASO, with an open book and ribbon bearing the national motto in the base. The encircling legend reads REPUBLIQUE DU BURKINA FASO along the upper arc and FASO along the right, with the denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA inscribed in the lower field. The coat of arms is rendered in gold coloring against the ruthenium-finished silver ground, creating a strong two-tone contrast. The motto UNITE PROGRES JUSTICE appears on the ribbon at the base of the shield. |

Ruthenium plating on numismatic silver became fashionable in the early 2010s as European minting houses — particularly the Bavarian State Mint and B.H. Mayer's — competed for African central bank contracts by offering increasingly elaborate surface treatments. Burkina Faso, which uses the West African CFA franc managed by the BCEAO, licenses its name for these collector issues without any meaningful domestic circulation; the coins are produced entirely for the international numismatic market and rarely, if ever, enter Ouagadougou.
