| Reverse description | A large African elephant cow is depicted in full relief, striding across a savanna landscape rendered with grasses and rocky outcroppings in the lower field. Radiating sunbeams emanate from the upper left, lending a dramatic, naturalistic atmosphere to the composition. Tree foliage is suggested at the upper right of the field. The legend 'SPIRIT OF AFRICA' is inscribed within a cartouche along the upper border, with the word 'OF' centered over a small solar disc motif. The overall design is executed in a bold, sculptural style characteristic of modern African wildlife commemorative issues. |

| Additional information |
Burkina Faso has no independent mint and contracts its commemorative coinage through European private minting houses — in this period predominantly the Bavarian State Mint and several Polish facilities. The elephant mother design belongs to a category of sub-Saharan wildlife issues produced largely for the collector export market, with negligible domestic circulation. KM# 107 places it within a run of similar Burkinabé commemoratives from the mid-2010s that were licensed rather than initiated by the issuing government.
