| Reverse description | Two cheetahs are depicted in a naturalistic savanna setting: a larger adult cheetah stands prominently in the right-center field, its spotted coat rendered in fine detail, head turned alertly to the right, while a second, smaller cheetah crouches in the foreground to the left. Rocky outcroppings and sparse vegetation suggest an African landscape. The legend 'Cheetahs Silver Ounce 2015' arcs along the upper border of the field. To the lower left, a small outline map of the African continent bears the inscription 'AFRICA 1oz Ag .999', denoting the coin's silver content and fineness. The antique finish gives the entire reverse a rich, darkened patina. |

| Additional information |
Gabon's wildlife bullion series was issued under the auspices of the Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale, the regional central bank serving the six CEMAC member states. Gabon itself has no independent mint, so production was contracted to a European facility — the coins are legal tender in name, but were never intended for circulation and exist solely for the collector and investor market.
The cheetah is functionally extinct in Gabon; the species' last confirmed central African populations are further north and east.
