Reverse description Central circular vignette reproduces the celebrated antique mosaic of Neptune in his triumphal chariot, drawn by four sea-horses and attended by marine deities, rendered in polychrome intaglio. The denomination appears in Arabic script — الف فرنك — at right, with the numeral 1000 at upper left and right. Arabic legends border the upper and lower margins, and the artists' credits H. CHEFFER FEC. and C. BELTRAND SC. appear at the lower corners.
