Aanvullende informatie

Equatorial Guinea has an unusually long history of issuing coins with no practical domestic circulation — collectible issues denominated in CFA francs, dalasis, and pesetas guineanas have been produced for the international numismatic market since the early 1970s, often through European minting intermediaries. This Atlanta Olympics piece fits squarely into that tradition. The country had no meaningful connection to the 1996 Games, and the coin was never intended to circulate.

KM#145 is one of several Equatorial Guinea Olympic issues from this period, all produced for the collector trade.
