备注

The 1000 Forint series P#176 was issued during Hungary's post-communist monetary transition, a period when the National Bank was simultaneously managing forint convertibility negotiations and runaway inflation that had eroded public confidence in domestic currency. Pénzjegynyomda — the state printing house on Markó Street in Budapest — handled the full production run, one of its first major series executed without Cold War-era Soviet oversight of security specifications.

Károly Vagyóczky's involvement on both design and engraving of the obverse is relatively unusual; separating those roles was more common practice at the time.
