Fernando II, and on the right, the bust of Dona Gloria, with an interlinked crowned monogram positioned between them above. Below, a finely detailed three-masted frigate under full sail occupies the central and lower field, rendered in high relief with rigging and hull clearly defined. A decorative rope border frames the inner design. The arc legend FRAGATA D. FERNANDO II E GLORIA is inscribed along the upper rim, while the lower legend reads DAMAO - 1843 • 1996 - AVEIRO, referencing the ship's commissioning location and the commemorative year. |
