背面描述 Multicolour in blue, teal, and pink tones over a fine guilloche underprint. The central vignette illustrates a musician's hands playing the ferrinho, a metal scraper instrument emblematic of the Cape Verdean funaná musical genre, set against a stylised foliate background with a dove in flight at left. The denomination "1000" appears twice — in large numerals at upper left and lower centre of the vignette — while the issuer name and value legend are printed in bold red and blue letterpress at right.

备注

Cabo Verde's 1000 Escudo note is the highest denomination in the current series, printed by Thomas De La Rue on cotton paper with a relatively modest security specification — watermark and security thread only — which is somewhat spartan for a top-denomination note issued after 2014. De La Rue has handled Cabo Verdean currency production for decades, a relationship that reflects the country's limited domestic printing infrastructure rather than any particular technical requirement.

The escudo has been pegged to the euro at a fixed rate of 110.265 CVE since 1999, inheriting the peg originally established against the Portuguese escudo. That arrangement removes exchange rate risk for the island economy but also means the central bank has little independent monetary policy to speak of — the note exists more as a transactional instrument than a policy tool.
