| Obverse description | Central field features the coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh), depicting a stylised eagle with spread wings surmounted by a stepped motif symbolic of the Armenian architectural tradition, set against a sunburst radiating from the centre. The arms are flanked by olive branches. The Armenian legend ԼԵՌՆԱՅԻՆ ՂԱՐԱԲԱՂԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ arcs above the coat of arms, with ԱՐՑԱԽ inscribed below it. The date 2004 appears in the upper field, the denomination 1000 is placed in the lower field, and the fineness mark .999 is noted to the right. |
