1000 Dram University of Gladzor

Gladzor University functioned in the Vayots Dzor region of medieval Armenia from roughly the 1280s to the 1340s, producing theologians, illuminators, and philosophers at a moment when Mongol rule had disrupted most institutional life across the region. It was never a fixed building — the school moved between monasteries, centered largely at Noravank, operating more as a peripatetic scholarly network than a campus in any fixed sense.
