| Reverse description | Central design depicts a stylized tree, its trunk bearing the emblem of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). The branches of the tree spread symmetrically across the field in an emblematic composition representing the member states bound by the organization. Armenian inscriptions arcing above and below reference the 20th anniversary of the signing of the treaty and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the organization. |

| Additional information |
The Collective Security Treaty — signed in Tashkent in May 1992 by six post-Soviet states including Armenia — was the organizational predecessor to the CSTO, which formally replaced it in 2002. Armenia joined as a founding signatory, a consequential alignment given the ongoing conflict with Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh that had already erupted by the time the ink was dry.
