| Opis rewersu | The reverse of this rectangular proof coin presents a full-color reproduction of the historic Armenian 'Sun Carpet' (Արեւածաղիկ Գորգ), a 19th-century carpet depicted in its entirety against the silver field. The carpet features an elongated dark field with a series of floral and geometric medallions in red, cream, and pink, flanked by stylized bird motifs and ornate floral borders. Vertical legends flank the central carpet image on both sides: the Armenian inscription 'ԱՐԵՒԱԾԱՂԻԿ ԳՈՐԳ' runs along the left border and 'SUN CARPET' in Latin characters along the right border. Below the carpet image, the inscription 'ԺԹ դար XIX century' indicates the 19th-century provenance of the depicted carpet. The date '2018' appears in the lower field. |
