| Description du revers | The reverse presents a full-color photographic representation of the Kecharis Monastery complex, a medieval Armenian monastic ensemble located in Tsaghkadzor, depicted with its characteristic cylindrical drum towers, conical domes, and arched entrance portal set against a sky with stylized engraved clouds. The monastery image is framed within an ornate arched border decorated with foliate and scroll motifs at the corners, with a repeating wave and bead pattern forming a decorative band along the lower margin. Kecharis is a monastic complex near Tsakhkadzor, founded in the early eleventh century under the Pahlavuni princes. It survived the Mongol incursions of the thirteenth century largely intact — unusual for Armenian ecclesiastical architecture of that period — and remains an active site today. Armenia has issued a sustained series of silver commemoratives honoring its medieval monasteries, several of which carry UNESCO World Heritage status, though Kecharis itself does not.
