Beschrijving voorzijde	Red-brown intaglio on multicolour underprint. A vignette of Alexander the Great appears at left, with a central guilloche-framed scene of Hercules in combat occupying the middle register; a classical marble frieze runs along the lower border. The face value and issuer legends are rendered in Greek script, with the date of issue and governor's signature block at lower centre.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Red-brown on pale yellow underprint. The central vignette reproduces the Alexander Mosaic — a celebrated Roman floor mosaic originally from the House of the Faun in Pompeii — portraying Alexander the Great mounted on his horse Bucephalus at the Battle of Issus. The denomination and issuer name appear in Greek script within the upper and lower borders, flanking the pictorial field.
